Depending on the assessment and what is required. A price range will be provided to the client at the time of booking and the client will be kept informed as the assessment progresses.

An important note:

Where an appointment needs to be cancelled or postponed, we request you notify us at least 48 hrs prior to the scheduled appointment (a cancellation fee may be charged for the session where we receive less than 48 hrs notice). If you require more information on this please feel free to ask any questions. Online appointments are always able to be offered as an alternative to cancelling the appointment.

Funding for psychology

It is important for clients to understand how they can access psychological services and what might be the best funding choice for them. The menu will provide you with some options to explore and consider before booking an appointment.

  • If you have been referred by your GP or psychiatrist under Medicare, you are entitled to 10 Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) rebates from Medicare per calendar year. A rebate of $96.65 per 50 min treatment session is provided for a registered psychologist.

  • Depending on your private health insurance policy, you may be eligible for a rebate through your insurer. This is something you will have to explore with your health fund. It is important to note that each health fund is different and to avoid any disappointment it is recommended to discuss the policy with your insurer prior to your appointment.

  • We provide services to self-managed or plan-managed NDIS recipients. This fee may include any correspondence with key stakeholders, reports that are required or multidisciplinary appointments or meetings.

  • Importantly you do not need to have a referral to visit Pearl Psychology. You may attend sessions as a private client. As a private client you simply contact us directly to book in a session. As a private client there are no rebates available on the fees for your session(s).

  • Registered with NSW Government to provide psychological intervention under the Workers Compensation Scheme
